Transitions + Intentions

So here I am. A while after I wrote that first post, heading into my Sophomore year of College. A lot has changed, but not much of it is noticeable.

1. I have transitioned into Nursing School at my University now. A huge step towards my dream of being a midwife someday.

2. I have developed a huge wanderlust. Nothing new really but it has now become fully realized. I intend to travel more.

3. I have transitioned out of campus housing. After a very difficult end of the semester (as happens at the end of every freshman year) in my dorm and not feeling safe there because of a situation that arose I decided that for myself it was time to bow out. Initially I had moved into the next dorm over where I already had friends, but then a 10 minute off campus opportunity presented itself. So I was down, obviously.

4. I have been working at a kids camp all summer, which has increased my sense of self, responsibility, and patience. It was a good choice on my part. I have not been in such a positive atmosphere for a while. It is nice to have kids look up to me and think I'm cool. I intend to try to view myself the way those kids view me.

5. I hung out with high school + middle school age people last night, and it was awesome and we played all the games we used to play as kids and it was amazing. My mental health has so greatly improved this summer. It is something I am so happy to be able to say, and I hope the theme continues. I intended to do my best to keep it up.

6. I have transitioned into a mindset of increased spontaneity, and have decided to stop letting my fear and anxiety control me. It's time for all my living to stop being under a rock, it's okay to be there sometimes, but I need to let go and breathe. 8 hours of sleep can come another day.

7. I am transitioning focusing more on my physical health and fitness as well, and I can see the results. It's pretty rad. Making it happen is a great choice.

8. I intend to invest more in my photography business, ordered business cards the other day. How adult of me.

9. I intend to transition into recording my life better. In video, in pictures, and in words both digital and written. I think this will be very important in years to come.

Okay, I think that is it. Hopefully I remember to keep up this blog.

Peace out earthlings.

Also this is a picture that resonated with me recently:
Take from it what you will.

Not For Me But For You

As one does when trying to be creative and witty, you get stuck. I don't know how to write a first blog post. So instead, here is a bullet list of things I know, for a fact, are true about myself and things I think. Because I am still figuring a lot of stuff out. So here are some things for you to know about me.

How's that for a start? 35 things about myself and my thoughts/opinions I know to be true.
